I did it all wrong. I applied it on the fur not under. 😢 Should have watched this before doing. Hope it will still be effective.
My golden retrievers for is so thick it’s impossible to get it on the skin and her skin is so oily I have to scrub her down for an hour first then shave that spot completely bald and then slowly put it on so it doesn’t just run off into her fur and disappear. I recommend shaving a small spot to apply it directly to the skin if your dog’s flea problem just won’t go away

I wish they would say this in their directions for other products on how to apply these products. I’m currently using K9 Advantix II and it says to apply it in four different spots from the base of the neck or shoulder area all the way down to the top part of the back next to the tail. If I do that, my bigger dog can reach around all the way to the middle of his back down to the tail and lick his back.nAnd my small dog gets very itchy on the part that’s close to the tail and constantly rubs up against me and wants me to scratch that area. I hate putting these chemicals on my dogs, but I’ve got so many wild cats in my area and this year has just been unbearable with the fleas. So I’m glad to see this old video, because that’s how I planned on putting it on my dogs this time and when I had cats, maybe 10 years ago, this is how I applied their medicine as well. So this confirms it for me. There’s no reason to add it all the way down their spine to their tail.
My pug has a double coat so her fur go up and side to side, its soo difficult to apply this type of medication on her.
