Cats and Rabies: CORRECTION

Cats are the most commonly reported rabid DOMESTIC animal. According to the CDC, in 2018, there were 241 cases of rabies among cats versus only 63 reported cases in dogs.

However, if you look at WILD animals too, they account for far more cases with 1,635 cases in bats, followed by 1,499 in raccoons (2018 Data, source: CDC).
